Affordable Music Lessons
Music Lessons are available in the following areas:
Voice – Piano – Guitar – Music Theory – for beginner and intermediate level
Students desiring voice lessons are accepted after a voice audition which includes a simple do ray mi scale to determine vocal aptitude.
Students of all ages are invited to audition for singing lessons. Guitar and piano students of all ages are welcome as well. No audition is necessary for guitar or piano lessons.
Amy Zents teaches students all year long including the summer months.

Teacher Policy
A teacher policy will be provided at the first lesson and signed by a parent or guardian explaining the expectations of the student and the teacher.
Tuition:
Tuition is due before lessons on a monthly basis.
Voice lessons $20 a half hour lesson.
Guitar lessons are $15 for 30 minutes and $20 for 45-minute lesson.
Half hour group guitar lessons are available for no more than 3 students per group at $12.50 per-pupil.
There is and additional $2.50 charge per lesson for room rental.
Student will bring their own guitar, picks and lesson books. A music stand and chairs are in the studio already.
A piano is provided for piano lessons, however students are expected to have a piano or keyboard at home to practice along with supplies including piano books, pencil, and notebook.

The Brown County United Way offers student scholarships of a certain amount to cover tuition and instrument costs to those children who qualify.

About Me:
Amy Zents has taught music lessons in New Ulm, Minnesota since May 2002. She started teaching from her home and has been teaching at the Grand for over 2 years.
Credentials:
A 2003 Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in music teaching K through 12 from Minnesota State University, Mankato, Amy Zents has taught in both public and private settings for over 15 years.
She is also a performer, singer-songwriter and a recording artist with many years of professional vocal performance including singing with the Minnesota Chorale at Orchestra Hall for over 2 years.
Her band Molly and Sonny Boy have their recordings available worldwide on CD Baby, and KNUJ CD sales.
Amy Zents is also a professional voice actor and radio broadcaster at AM 860 KNUJ /SAM 107.3 and worldwide on the web and Amazon Echo at Knuj.net.
She has worked as a radio broadcaster for over 25 years in St James, Mankato and in New Ulm. In July 2017 Zents celebrated 20 years at KNUJ where she still works hosting the Sunday Polka Parade each Sunday from noon to 5, along with producing her own A to Z show, producing radio ads and other duties.
